Fire Hydrant CerTifier

Mission

The Fire Hydrant Certifier is the AS2419 authority for the business. You will allow us to quickly expand further into fire hydrant certification and site fire hydrant compliance audits.

The Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Have a thorough theoretical and practical understanding of AS2419
  • Complete all fire hydrant certification work
  • Conduct site audits to ensure sites comply with AS2419
  • Conduct flow and pressure testing
  • Educate fellow employees and clients on the requirements of AS2419

About You

  • Qualified to issue a Form 71 for all types of fire hydrant system. This can be through the;
     - QBCC with the completion of a Cert IV in fire systems, or
     - being a chartered engineer, or
     - accreditation with the Fire Protection Industry Board
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a;
     - building approvals officer with the QFES, or
     - hydrant certifier, or
     - hydrant system maintainer, or
     - hydrant system designer, or
     - plumber working on hydrant systems
  • Enjoy working with a small growing team
  • Focus on customer service
  • Take pride in your work
  • Great presentation and a team focused personality
  • Physically able to carry and install equipment
  • Manual Drivers licence

  • There will be approximately 30 hours work per week working from the ute and from home. Hours are flexible and we will work around your personal requirements as much as possible
  • $34 to 42/hr + superannuation depending on the experience and fit
